Favorite Gin Cocktails for Spring

Updated: May 1, 2019

Brian and I gave up drinking for Lent, and I'm ashamed to say it was HARD. I didn't realize how much I looked forward to sipping a pretty little shaken concoction on a Monday night after the babes were in bed. BUT, it is Easter after all. SO, HAPPY EASTER, and cheers:) To celebrate, I wanted to share two of my all-time favorite gin cocktails. Both below are a combination of gin, citrus, and fresh herbs. Such a treat and perfect for spring.

EUPHORIA COCKTAIL//

It is heavenly, really.

Ingredients: (1 drink)

  • 1/2 oz. simple syrup

  • 4 sage leaves divided

  • 1 oz. gin

  • 1 oz. st. germain

  • 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice

*catch the recipe and full instructions here.

Fact. I will always want this drink on my birthday.

LAST WORD//

Ingredients: (1 drink)

  • 3/4 oz. gin

  • 3/4 oz. green chartreuse

  • 3/4 oz. maraschino liquor

  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

*vigorously shake ingredients in shaker filled with ice. strain into chilled glass.

Tart. Herb-y. Intense. Love. Brian made this for me while we were dating ( I was sooooo impressed with his bar back skills;) And, I have loved it ever since.

*TIP. We found if you let the drink sit in the shaker for a few minutes after shaking, it is much more smooth and drinkable. Truly! It sounds bad to dilute an awesome cocktail, but for strong ones like these, they need a bit more time to let the ice work its magic. (restaurants and bars use small, crushed ice cubes when making drinks and they melt/dilute faster). Case in point, trust us:)
